The lemur leaves in groups. In average 12-24 lemurs form a group where females are dominant. Compared to other lemurs they are less territorial and are protecting the territory mostly in the breeding season. Their natural enemies are the predator birds and also dogs can be a threat. It is a popular zoo monkey. In allmost all zoos are found. It is a protected animal!

Number of offspring: Usually one but it is not uncommon twin birth
Lifetime: 15-16 years, but in captivity for up to 30 years
Nutriment: part of the plants, leaves, fruits, flowers, plants juices, barks. Occasionally arthropods.
